Kezang hails from Paro and before working as a guide in Bhutan he worked on a small scale poultry and mushroom farm in Paro. In 2005, Kesang joined Yangphel leading cultural, trekking, photography, and Buddhist tours. Over the past 10 years, he has participated in several training courses, including an entrepreneurship development program organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs; a guide course organized by the tourism Council of Bhutan; certification courses in culture and trekking tours; a first aid responder’s course; and tour leader training organized by Explore Worldwide. He enjoys soccer, archery, reading, travel, biking and hiking and was a youth leader during the first democratic elections in the Kingdom
